Cambridge, Mass., April 15, 1907.

Beloved Leader and Friend:—My gratitude is sincere for the opportunity given me yesterday to appear before the public as your friend. Higher privilege there is none than to be employed in this service which you are directing, wherein you discovered the only true way to work reform. The meeting last night was a success. Hon. John D. Long was met by so much love, which was evidently unexpected by him, that for a moment his emotion almost overcame him. You will see the report, so I need not characterize the speeches.
