Before coming to this province I had lived for about ten years at Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, and about four years of that time I had suffered untold agony from bladder trouble. During that term I had been treated by four different doctors, and the last one, on account of the serious nature of the malady, advised me to have an operation performed, but because of the apparent doubt as to the outcome of the operation I did not consent to undergo one. A little later on I had a very severe attack, and was attended by one of the best surgeons in the city, who prescribed a remedy to be taken three times a day for about six months, or undergo an operation, and I tried the remedy until it seemed almost as bad as the disease.

Shortly after this I accepted a position in Winnipeg, and after my arrival there I began attending Christian Science services. After hearing week after week of the many beautiful demonstrations of healing through Christian Science, I decided to try it for myself, as by this time kidney trouble had appeared. I applied for treatment to a Christian Science practitioner and the first treatment brought immediate relief. In the course of a very short time I was healed of the bladder, kidney, and liver troubles. Then I became interested still further, and purchased the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. After studying this book for a time, I found one day that a truss which I was wearing gave me such discomfort that I had to remove it, and discovered that the ailment which had caused me so much pain and inconvenience for over twenty years was no longer in evidence. I threw away the truss, and have had no occasion to use one since. The expense of new appliances every little while during those twenty years was quite an item alone. This healing took place about three years ago, and I have lifted heavy weights many times since, but have not suffered the slightest inconvenience in any way. I have not tasted medicine of any kind for over six years, but have trusted in Christian Science alone for all my healing.

After having suffered so much and so long, and having been delivered out of all this suffering and being able to enjoy life to its fullest extent, how can I express in words my gratitude to God, and to the Discoverer and Founder of this blessed truth that is doing so much healing work throughout the world to-day? It is all being done by giving us the right concept of God, our heavenly Father, and of man created in His likeness.
