American-Reveille
Without entering into the question of the efficacy of Christian Science in the cure of physical ailments, it may be said that as a physician of the mind it is the most wonderful cult of the century. The Christian Scientist makes the world better for his living in it, and the belief not only makes the believer happy, but it makes those around him happier and more comfortable. It has been the good fortune of the writer to be thrown with many Christian Scientists, and we have noticed certain characteristics about them which are well worthy of emulation. There is nothing of the hypocrite about the Christian Scientist. He believes thoroughly and unreservedly. Also he has the courage of his convictions, and will at all times and in all places defend his faith. Our Christian Science friends are all honest and conscientious. They are self-respecting, wear good clothes, move in good society, attend strictly to their own business, and pay their debts.
