I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science
I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science. For two years I had not been able to sleep well and gradually became worse till I was unable to sleep at all. This seemed to result in great weakness, and I had to leave my family and home and go away into the country, but when I returned I was no better. A friend then told me about her healing and advised me to try Christian Science. She lent me a copy of the Sentinel, and after reading it my husband proposed that I try Christian Science, as it was not possible for me to go on as I then was much longer. I called on a practitioner, and asked if she could heal me, and if she had ever had a case like mine. Her answer was that she could not heal me, but that God could. I remained with her for some little time, and had a treatment; then I went home refreshed and hopeful. I slept soundly all through the night, and rose with such a consciousness of peace and joy in the morning! I never suffered from want of sleep again. I had worn an elastic band on my ankle for eighteen years for an injury, and had always to use a stick to help me when out walking, but I was able to lay these aside at once when I accepted Christian Science. I am now well and happy. I thank God for my health, and for the wonderful understanding of the Bible that has been given me through the study of the Christian Science text-book. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for all her love for suffering humanity.
