In 1862, after we had all been worn out with taking care of our children through a six-months siege of illness, I became so ill that I could not lie down. Our family doctor said I had a serious heart trouble; that I might live two years and I might die at any time. After a year I was better, but never could lie down without suffering. This condition continued with some changes till 1888. In the mean time we had eight doctors, and all but one agreed that I had organic heart disease, and that it could not be cured. Christian Science was then introduced to me through the healing of my daughter, and I was healed in a short time. My healing was thorough, and I could literally "run, and not be weary; and ... walk, and not faint." Since that time I have with very few exceptions been able to overcome all the ailments which have presented themselves. I can never express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, and for even the little understanding I have of this glorious truth heals both mentally and spiritually. I am thankful that I live in this blessed time. I can never tell how thankful I am that one was found so near the infinite as to learn these truths and give them to suffering humanity. To Christian Science I owe everything I have and all that I am.—Mrs. B. A. Sain, Topeka, Kan.
