In the New Testament we are told that "the Word was with God, and the Word was God." In Isaiah we read concerning this, "It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Several weeks ago I was suffering from an extremely inflamed and very sore heel. During the time I was making an effort to overcome it, I spent an afternoon with two dearly loved Scientists. The whole time was spent in conversing upon the subject of truth, the power of the word of God,—no other subject was thought of or mentioned. The conversation was deeply interesting and instructive to me, and when I wakened the next morning I found to my great joy that the foot was perfectly healed. Neither of the Scientists knew of the healing for some days, nor was the condition mentioned to them. The demonstration was made by the spoken word of Truth. We were all deeply grateful for this proof of the power of Truth to heal through the spoken word. It has proved to us through actual demonstration the truth of what Mrs. Eddy teaches in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
