I should like to express my thanks to our Leader for giving us "Science and Health," which is indeed the "Key to the Scriptures" and which has made me understand and love the Bible as I never did before. Christian Science has made my life bright, healthy, and happy. A few years ago I was nearly always suffering; constantly under the care of doctors, and in bondage to every kind of fear, both for myself and my husband. Christian Science has shown me how wrong and needless it is to take anxious thought for the morrow; it has also shown me that God's children are protected from every kind of evil and that our fears are but dreams from which we need to be awakened. My awakening has been very gradual,—there seems to be so much to unlearn, so many man-made theories to drop; but how splendid it is to be sure that we have found the right path to Truth and to know that as we study to apply our present understanding, and use what we have already gained, we shall receive more light and knowledge; that no work is a waste of time, even though it may seem to bear no present fruit. Since coming into Christian Science, I have been healed of severe nervous trouble and great weakness, also of depression and many other ailments. All these have been overcome gradually, and peace has taken the place of great unrest.

For all these blessings I am daily thankful, and though I am only just beginning, and there are many things to overcome, yet I know each phase of error will be destroyed, for "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). The Lesson-Sermon is the greatest daily help, also the Sentinel and Journal, which always contain some helpful message. I pray that my life may prove useful to others, and that I may reflect Love even as our dear Leader has shown us in her own beautiful life and writings.
