It is with a heart full of love and gratitude that I can say I have been entirely healed of a dreaded and supposedly incurable disease. It is now two years since I first came to Christian Science. At that time I had been operated on, and the doctor who accompanied me, and the two surgeons who performed the operation, told me that in case there should be any further manifestation of a growth I should have it removed at once. After I had been at home a month or six weeks, the trouble reappeared in several places. I knew there was no use to think of another operation, so I took a quantity of medicine which a doctor had prescribed; but I daily grew worse, until I could not use my arm, nor sleep at night, the pain being so severe.

I had heard of Christian Science, but was very much opposed to it. When I could find no medical relief, however, I decided to try it, and had a talk with a Scientist. I asked her to go with me to see the First Reader here, which she did. That night, after talking with her, I could not sleep at first. I began to have terrible pain, but finally I thought of what this lady had said to me, and I went right to sleep and rested all night, something I had not done for weeks.

The next day I began taking treatment and continued for twelve weeks, at the end of which time I had not a pain or ache, and the growth had disappeared. I have had better health, and have been able to do more work, than ever before in my life. Words cannot express my gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, not only for my health, but for the spiritual uplifting which came with it.
