I am very grateful for Christian Science
I am very grateful for Christian Science. Its truth has been demonstrated many times in my family. There is one demonstration in particular of which I would like to tell.
I have often been asked whether I should have Christian Science treatment if one of my family had a dangerous illness which must be met very quickly. One morning about ten o'clock, our little boy, four years old, was taken with severe pain in the bowels, and grew worse rapidly. We could not get word to a practitioner until about one o'clock. When he came the fear of the entire family was very great, as the child's cries could be heard outside. Doctors, hospital, etc., were continually suggested. I sent for my husband, as the child seemed but little better. I asked if he was satisfied with Christian Science treatment, and he replied that he was. For several hours the child had not been able to drink even water, but soon after his father came he drank some milk. The practitioner then went home, and when he returned, in about one hour, he found the child up and dressed and begging for supper, which we feared to give him; but the practitioner told us to feed him, and we did so without any bad results. Next day he was out of doors and grew better right along. How thankful I was that night for Christian Science, and to the one who gave it to the world at this period. To God my heart goes out in deepest gratitude, and my desire is to serve Him better.
Mrs. John Whitney, North Adams, Mass.
