COMMON GROUND FOR ALL

In quiet moments, and during pauses between work and amusement, mankind asks as to the meaning of life. This speculative habit of thought has persisted through the ages. The question, What is life? comes to the child growing into youth, to the youth developing into maturity, and to men and women of all ages. Whence is life and whither does it tend?

It is becoming increasingly evident that thinkers of every kind are making efforts to secure some common ground upon which the real meaning of life may be viewed and reviewed and final conclusions reached. Thus a drawing together of savants and scholars is observable, a regrouping, a veritable reconciliation between former antagonists. It is the hope of such investigators that by a new unity of purpose the riddle of existence may be solved; that life, its origin, continuance, and ultimate, may be explained.

Those who have read the signs of the times know that Christian Science has already answered this great questioning of the human heart about the true meaning of life. The Christian Science text-book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, by elucidating the Scriptures, has clearly shown to all who are willing to see, that God is Life, the eternal, indestructible, and only real Life of man. Thus mankind, in seeking for the meaning of Life, is really seeking to understand God, good. From the standpoint of Truth, then, the riddle of existence is already solved, and the origin, continuance, and ultimate of real Life is already explained.
