Two months ago I was quite ill with a bad cold and fever. On the fourth day the fever increased, and I suffered terribly, so that my husband wanted to send for a physician, but I refused all medical aid and tried to demonstrate the truth. The pains became so severe, however, that I was unable to think, and I lost consciousness for a time. When I again became conscious my husband said something must be done, and if I wanted him to send for a Christian Science practitioner he would do so. I quickly consented, and after the lady arrived my suffering grew less, and in half an hour the pains had entirely ceased. I felt calm, thanked God, and went to sleep. About two weeks after my experience my little girl cut her hand severely. We were advised to take her to the hospital, as four or five stitches seemed to be necessary, but the little one begged for Christian Science, and although there were some serious conditions the wound healed in a short time. She is very happy, and shows her hand to her playmates, and tells them that God healed it. I would like to add that no stitches were taken. My husband, who had been opposed to Christian Science, now says, "Whatever it is, it must be of good, for it is wonderful!" —Mrs. Duer Voigt, Oakland, Cal.
