I feel I should like to tell a little of what Christian Science...
I feel I should like to tell a little of what Christian Science has done for me. Eight years ago I had a serious throat trouble, since which time I have occasionally had attacks which necessitated my staying in bed a fortnight. Two years ago I came to live with a lady who is a Christian Scientist, and since then I have had no return of them until four months ago, when I was in London temporarily. I awoke one morning feeling very ill,—my throat extremely sore, high fever, and intense headache. My mistress gave me several treatments during the day and by evening I felt slightly better, but still was very ill. The next day all the symptoms were less severe and by three o'clock in the afternoon on the following day, the third day of illness, I was able to go out for a walk, and though feeling weak I knew the trouble was at an end, and I felt that what might have been, judged by past experience, a very grave and serious case, was quite over. The day after I was absolutely well. Eighteen months since I had an attack of rheumatic trouble and was healed by the first treatment. It recurred badly a fortnight later, but again yielded to treatment in twenty-four hours and has not returned since. Toothache has also been quite overcome, twice instantaneously.
For all this I feel truly grateful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the benefits and the teaching I have received through Christian Science.
Edith Moody, Wilts, England.
