I could not tell the half of what Christian Science has...
I could not tell the half of what Christian Science has done for me. I had never known what it was to be well and strong. I was irritable, nervous, and always tired—tired when I went to bed at night, and tired when I got up in the morning. I never slept well, and scarcely a day passed without a headache. I was also subject to acute bilious attacks. Christian Science found me in the midst of a great deal of trouble, care, and hard work, which it seemed at times would overwhelm me. A doctor intimated that I could not stand the strain, but about this time I heard of Christian Science and commenced to read Science and Health. I found this truth to be an ever-present help in many months of continued care and responsibility which followed. I gained steadily in strength, and the tired feeling soon disappeared. Through the reading of our text-book I was healed of a severe chronic trouble which I had had all my life, and at the same time I was healed of a bad cough from which I had suffered for three years. Many other ailments have also yielded to this great truth. At one time I had an attack of rheumatic trouble. for which I went to a practitioner and was healed in a few days. My husband has been helped in many ways—cured of the tobacco habit, etc. My brother in Los Angeles was entirely healed of heart and stomach trouble a short time ago, and has begun to read Science and Health.
I am deeply grateful to God, and to Mrs, Eddy, for this truth which brings so many blessings into our lives.
Mrs. Hattie E. Gemmell, San Jose, Cal.
