Through the study of Christian Science I was healed of...
Through the study of Christian Science I was healed of what the doctors had named varicose veins. They said I must keep off my feet and wear a specially made bandage, but before it could be secured I saw the light of spiritual healing. From this time on, for seven years, I worked at labor that demanded my being on my feet many hours every day, but never have I suffered any inconvenience or been in bed a day from that time to this, which is now eleven years. The healing came quickly to my consciousness, although it look many months for the outward manifestation to change, but it did completely return to healthy, normal conditions. My thought goes out in gratitude for this physical healing, but the spiritual understanding is so much greater that words can never tell half the story. It was much like the story of Lazarus, for I was dead and in the tomb of materialism, and when called forth I was "bound hand and foot with grave-clothes," but I can truly say they are being laid aside and man's true self is being revealed. With joy and peace and hope I am pressing on, striving each day to prove my gratitude to God, and to our Leader for making it possible for me to understand the Scriptures and their messages of eternal Life.
