It is over four years since I came to Christian Science for help—not at first by asking for treatment, but studying the Bible and Science and Health, also "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy. For three days I devoted myself entirely entirely to reading and prayer, that the truth might be revealed to me, and this was after all other means had failed. There was a condition of hemorrhage, of long standing, that finally brought me where physicians said the blood, cells and corpuscles were all destroyed. This, combined with Bright's disease, brought on a nerve trouble in my head and one side. The pain in my head was so great for four weeks that I prayed to die. With this was a constant nausea; not even a teaspoonful of anything could be retained. I required constant attention by nurses, there being a day nurse and a night nurse all the time. Physicians said if I lived it would be by the power of God only, as they could do nothing for me, and that I would never be able to walk. On going home from the sanitarium I took cold and there was incessant coughing, etc. After ten weeks of this I turned to Christian Science. I could only read a few words at a time, then all would be a blank—both of sight and of thought. I continued my reading as best I could, praying that God would reveal to me if this was the Christ-truth, and the third day, as I sat with the books on my lap, I suddenly discovered that my throat was healed. My cough was gone; I slept and ate and could not get enough to eat. In ten days I was a changed woman. Later, I had treatment for bowel trouble of forty years' standing, and had at last to work it out for myself. All these ills and many more have disappeared into their native nothingness through the study of our text-book. I am well. I am free from pain, for the first time in many years. "How great a God is our God."

I have also had some beautiful demonstrations in the last year. All may know this truth by studying the Bible and Science and Health. I would I could give to some sin-sick, diseased mortal the joy and peace that have come into my life and home through this truth. I know that by living this truth I may be able so to do, and thereby prove my love and gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader.
