For about thirty years I was troubled with indigestion or stomach trouble. I was treated by several of the leading doctors of the city, but instead of being cured my trouble increased. One day a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was brought to my home. It lay there several days before I opened it and read a little. I did not seem to understand it, so I closed it. This I did several times, but finally became interested and did not want to let go of it. Something like two months after this, after I had suffered for several days with the stomach trouble, the thought came to me, "Why cannot you be healed as well as so many others, by this understanding." Being satisfied that Christian Science is the truth, I resolved to try it and do the best I could with what little understanding I had. I closed the book and declared the truth to the best of my understanding, and in less than two minutes my trouble disappeared like snow in warm water. This was about a year ago, and from that time I have not missed a meal, and take anything that is set before me, having no fear of my former trouble. I have not taken any medicine since being healed.

A few weeks after my healing I awoke one night in what seemed a high fever, My first thought was to call a doctor, but the second thought was to declare the truth as before. I did so, and woke up in the morning as well as usual. I am indeed thankful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy, for the knowledge of this blessed truth which heals all error.
