Among the Churches

First Church of Christ, Scientist, located at the corner of Sixth and Walnut Streets, was dedicated yesterday [July 1] with impressive ceremonies. The evening service was identical with the morning exercises, in order to give every one an opportunity to attend. The church was well filled with the regular attendants and a large number of their friends who were present to assist in observing the occasion.—Muscatine (Ia.) Journal.

An unusually large audience was present at the regular testimony meeting of the Christian Scientists on Wednesday evening, at their rooms in the Jardin Hotel. Mr. Stilwell was present, and with him Mr. James Whitcomb Riley; the latter as yet but little interested in Christian Science. Mr. Stilwell spoke very inspiringly, and there were some good testimonies given of physical healing and salvation from bad habits.
