The Lectures

Mr. Edward A. Kimball of Chicago gave a lecture at the Grand yesterday afternoon [ March II ] on Christian Science. He was gracefully and ably introduced to the audience by Hon. B. M. Davis. Mr. Davis, among other things, said that we have nothing to fear from knowing the truth, that all monopoly is detrimental to progress and to human well-being; that the meaning of the Reformation and all forward religious movements is that man has the right to know the truth and share in the freedom of the truth.

He spoke of the marvelous growth of the Christian Science movement and quoted one of Macon's leading citizens (not a Christian Scientist) who is said to have remarked, — "Christian Scientists live what our ministers preach and what we profess to believe." — Macon Telegraph.
