I wish to express a little of the deep gratitude I feel for my slight knowledge of Christian Science. From being an ailing, delicate woman with constant pain, and weariness which was almost worse than the pain. I am perfectly well. I used material appliances daily for three years, and never hoped or expected to be free from this bondage. After four months' study of Science and Health I saw that I must put my whole trust and confidence in God. He had guided me to Christian Science and I must not be afraid. At first I was half inclined to go on using material remedies for "just this once," but soon understood that "what God cannot do, man need not attempt" (Science and Health, p. 231). The past three years have been quite the happiest and most peaceful in my life; for though there has been, and is, plenty to meet and overcome, yet with the consciousness of the ever-presence of divine Love, we can prevail.

The problem of evil had troubled me from childhood, but Science and Health has solved it for me. We find in Christian Science that God does not send sickness and death, but He destroys them. I have also found great comfort from "No and Yes" by Mrs. Eddy, in thinking of seeming wrongs and difficulties.

I thank God for giving us our dear Leader, and her wonderful writings, which are daily proving to the world that God is supreme; that God is Love.
