From early childhood I was considered very delicate,...

From early childhood I was considered very delicate, and was held in bondage by that belief until my freedom came through Christian Science, many years later. During this time my case was diagnosed by eight of the leading physicians as an abnormal growth. After making every effort possible to obtain relief, and at great expense, it was decided that an operation was necessary, although they could give but little hope. In the operation a growth was removed, but they found another which they said could not be removed, and four weeks later I was sent home to die; the doctors saying they could do no more for me, that I might live three days at the longest. Prior to this time I had become interested in Christian Science, but I had not yet gained sufficient understanding to have faith that it could help me in so serious a case. Now, however, I turned to the truth as my only hope. I began at once to gain in strength, and was able to be about my household duties. Later I had a struggle for a time, but the Christian Science treatment was continued, and in about a year I was perfectly well. I have been a well woman for fourteen years.—Mrs. L. J. Roberts, Rochester, N. Y.
