WHAT OUR LEADER SAYS

Beloved Christian Scientists:—Keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love that sin, disease, and death cannot enter them.
Christian people are much given to the free expression of their religious beliefs, and so far as these statements are demonstrated to be true, or so far as they express the logical sequence of an unquestioned truth, even if not thus demonstrated, they have an ethical and educational value.

The question is sometimes asked by those who are looking into Christian Science, If this truth is contained in the Bible, why is Science and Health needed?

Some time ago I awoke feeling very ill,—my throat seemed to be in a very bad condition, and as time passed on it appeared to be gradually growing worse.
I desire to express in some small measure my ever-increasing sense of gratitude for the blessings which Christian Science has shed upon my earthly path, in bringing me out of darkness into Truth's eternal day, enabling me to understand the Bible and how to divide the words of Truth aright.
One evening my boy complained of feeling very badly; I suggested that he lie down and let me read to him.

In January, 1898, I fell on an icy pavement in Omaha, Neb.
From early childhood I was considered very delicate, and was held in bondage by that belief until my freedom came through Christian Science, many years later.

FROM OUR EXCHANGES

Is it not true, and do you not know it to be true, that the best things of your life have come not from without but from within—the loyal friend, the reciprocated love, the conscience at peace with God and man, the clear view upward, the large view outward.
