With a heart full of gratitude to God and to our beloved...
With a heart full of gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Rev. Mary B. G. Eddy, I send my testimony. It is over eight years since I first heard of this wonderful Science from a friend. She handed me Science and Health and I read it and said, "I will give it a trial." I was looking for the healing just then, but little did I know what was to be revealed to my consciousness.
I was then a physical wreck, discouraged and dissatisfied with myself. I had been a member of the church from my girlhood, and had tried to be a Christian. I had studied my Bible, but could not understand it satisfactorily, and when I would ask others,—ministers and Christian friends,—they would say that we must not be as wise as God; or that we should know more when we got to heaven. I have realized, however, since studying the Bible in connection with Science and Health, that I can truly say, it has revealed to me perfect harmony, both mentally and physically. I was healed of many troubles that women suffer from, and that without any medicine but the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." For this I am very thankful, and whenever I have anything to trouble me, I take my Bible and Science and Health and the Quarterly, and go over the Lesson-Sermon, and it always meets the trouble. What a grand help it is, and always at hand. It teaches me that God is ever-present to help us.
I was blessed with the privilege of attending the Communion at Boston, in 1903, and shall never forget the kindness and love which were shown us while there from all the dear ones in truth. I had the very great pleasure of visiting our Leader's home, and hearing her speak those words of love and welcome to Pleasant View.
