Our Part in Ushering in the Millennium
Mrs. Eddy says, "A right apprehension of the wonderful utterances of him who 'spake as never man spake,' would despoil error of its borrowed plumes, and transform the universe into a home of marvelous light" (Unity of Good, p.20).
From the time of the Revelation of St. John until now, man has been looking forward to a better condition among human beings while still inhabitants of this earth. If this is to be brought about by a clearer understanding of the Word of God, how important it is that we should be diligent students of the Bible. Many of us know how seemingly vain was our search for Truth until we became students also of our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" written by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
It is safe to state that there is not a single individual among the civilized nations of the world, but wishes that there might never be a broken family circle; never a case of sickness or sin, never a destructive storm, nor a ship to go down at sea; never a railroad wreck; never a failure of crops; nor a strike; never a disaster of any kind; in fact, that nothing but good health, prosperity, happiness, should ever find place in the experience of men.
