An Echo of Thanks
A CONSCIOUSNESS of the great wisdom of our divinely instructed Leader, Mrs. Eddy, compels me to give my humble testimony to the wonderful plan of the general teaching in our Christian Science weekly Lesson Sermons at the present time. When the Sunday sermons were suspended for this new arrangement, questions about the expediency thereof troubled me. Now I see the fulness of fore-knowledge which led to the change.
I am at the present time isolated from all our church services, but find by this arrangement a church in the wilderness, a perennial fountain not dependent on edifice or numbers. This teaching from our Quarterly ever at hand holds us like the magnetic needle to the pole. If our thoughts would wander to earthly things, here is our guide, the blessed inspiration which leads us on, by centering our attention upon the spiritual, and showing us "the way," making us feel that, like Enoch, we are indeed walking "with God." The beliefs of sickness and discomfort are thereby controlled, as I have found in my daily experience. Again and again I thank God for the fore-knowledge of the wants of the world which He imparted to our humble, waiting, receptive Teacher and Leader.
