Among the Churches

The opening services in the new church edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Denver, took place May 29. Services were held in the morning and evening. At the morning service the full seating capacity of the great auditorium was taxed to its, utmost, and many were unable to gain entrance to the building. A large number of visiting Christian Scientists were present from different parts of the state. The services consisted of the regular Lesson Sermon; subject, "God the only Cause and Creator."

Congratulatory telegrams were received from a number of sister churches in distant cities. The First Reader, Mrs. Emily L. Cameron, extended a welcome to all those attending our first service, and expressed the hope that it would be one of many they might share with this church.

The history of our church shows a most gratifying growth, and with the completion of this new home, its use-fulness is broadened, its energies quickened, and it feels more sacredly than ever before that "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (Science and Health, Pref. p. vii).
