The Search for Happiness

Perhaps , dear reader, you have looked into many systems of healing, gone to various climates, taken large quantities of medicine, followed much advice for months and years. You may have been told that God made you sick or allowed you to become sick so as to help you to become spiritual,—a proof of His loving care. You know that all with whom you have talked have told you about health in your body. You do not expect to have this body more than a few years, then why try to find health in the temporal? Are you ready to find true health, that which no one can take from you, and that cannot be lost?

Are you seeking happiness?

Possibly you vary the routine of each day by such means as you can command,—spending your evenings socially, and on Sundays and holidays going to parks and places of amusement. You have done this for years, but have you found happiness, and are you satisfied? Are you ready to find true happiness, the kind that does not give place to sorrow, that does not make you say it is too good to last, but which is so good that you know it must last?
