It is now nearly five years since I was healed through Christian Science, and during that time I have enjoyed most excellent health without the use of any material remedies. Prior to that, I was for a number of years in very poor health; not confined to my bed, but always in pain, dragging about by the exercise of great will-power.
I have never seen the dear Scientist who was the means of my release from that bondage, but the work was effectually done by absent treatment. I was then in Colorado, and until very recently had never attended a Christian service. I took all our periodicals, however, read all our dear Leader's published writings, and have been a faithful student of Science and Health and our Lesson-Sermons.
From childhood I had been very familiar with the Bible, and revered and loved it, but it has new beauties to me now, and the cheer and comfort derived from the understanding of Christian Science have been of untold value to me. It has helped me in every way. My heart has a constant song thanksgiving to our loving Father for all His blessings and mercies, and especially for this new light given to us through His faithful servant, our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.—Mrs. M. F. W., Chicago, Ill.
