It should also be remembered that in commissioning his disciples and apostles to "heal the sick," Jesus set no limitation to the forms of disease which could be cured by spiritual means. He showed by his own example that there was no such limitation and taught his students to destroy every form of discord, whether mental, moral, or physical, which might come into their experience. Thus Christian Scientists, though fully aware of their own human frailties and failures, would not venture to deny the Scriptural affirmation that God heals all our diseases. Out of deference to public opinion and the feelings of their neighbors, they do not at present undertake the cure of certain forms of disease, but they have no warrant in Christianity for doubting that the requisite understanding of God's omnipotence is capable of triumphing over error of every sort.
