About a year ago, while at work on a building, I met with an accident. A fellow-workman and myself were carrying some heavy timber, when I stepped upon a board which broke under my weight precipitating me through an opening. Falling about ten feet, I struck my back on a joist, which rendered me partially unconscious, and to sense pretty badly used up. The accident happened about 10 a.m. As soon as possible I tried to realize that there were no accidents in divine Mind and that I was God's perfect child. I then returned to my labor and worked the remainder of the day. During the day the men who had seen me fall suggested that I might be injured internally, and that night I suffered intensely and could not turn over without assistance. In the morning I arose and dressed with great difficulty and went to call on a practitioner to receive treatment.
After talking a short time I felt greatly helped and in twenty minutes was entirely relieved, feeling like a new man. I then left the house, running down three flights of steps. I went to work after dinner and did not lose any more time, nor experience any more pain or suffering. I am indeed thankful for this truth which is being given to the world through Mrs. Eddy for the uplifting of mankind. I have been able to realize the power of Truth in many ways since, not only for the physical but for the spiritual need as well.—B. C. Vincent, Pittsburg, Pa.
