The Lectures

At Shellman, Ga., Monday evening, May II, Mrs. Sue Harper Mims of Atlanta, lectured on "The Spiritual Supremacy of Man through Scientific Christianity, the Religion of the Future." The auditorium of Shellman Institute was filled with a large and appreciative audience.

Mrs. Mims was introduced by Col. R. F. Crittenden, who spoke in part as follows:—

Ladies and Gentlemen:— Looking back down the dim vista of past ages, we see everywhere that woman has ever shed a halo of glory over the pathway of life. In reading sacred history we find her last at the cross and first at the tomb, carrying the glad tidings, He is risen, He is risen. In every-day life we find her the mainstay of our churches, the hope of our missions, and the leader in all our charities. So it has transpired that the nineteenth century, so rich in the material and spiritual developments, should have given to us a Mrs. Eddy, who has given to us a Christian Science, or rather, uncovered from the ages the healing power once displayed by the apostles.
