The Healing Truth always at Hand

Jesus came pre-eminently to heal the sick and to cast out sin and death. If this work was to be done through material means, could anything short of a thorough diagnosis and classification of all diseases, and a definite pointing out of each remedy designated for the removal of each particular disease,—would anything short of this, I say, have been a complete work?

All admit that the work of Jesus was complete. If complete, then surely it must contain a perfect system, and it is self-evident that that system was not material, for we cannot put finger on one disease and point to a drug which Jesus used in healing.

It is thus very evident that this is not what Jesus meant us to do when he said, "Heal the sick."
