It is with heartfelt gratitude and deepest humility that I offer the following testimony as to the healing effects of Christian Science.

A little over two years ago I was given Science and Health to read, but I was so absolutely blinded by materiality that it seemed the most foolish and uninteresting book I had ever read. From the little I read of the book this fact seemed paramount; that in order to be well one was required to keep the commandments. To hold one's temper in check, to love one's enemies, and to forgive a wrong seemed an utter impossibility with me.

I was tangled up in such a network of sickness, trouble, worry, doubt, fear, and rebellion against God, that not only did I make myself thoroughly miserable and unhappy. but my friends and relatives as well. Of course there were momentary glimpses of happiness, when I had an occasional well day.
