Individuality

In spite of the tendency towards the pursuit of material knowledge, evinced by most of the writers on the subject of evolution, the ethical element is ever seeking notice from those who really desire to find something which will prove that Mind underlies the processes of nature.

No one was ever truly great as sculptor, painter, poet, or prophet, who did not see and apply the lovely lessons given to mankind through all the symbolism of nature's vast school.

Jesus often turned thought in this direction. To a pastoral people he spoke of the shepherd and the sheep, the pastures and the fold; and again of the sower, the seed, and the harvest. In all these lessons the individuality of the listener was kept constantly in view, and here we find a secret of all truly efficient healing and teaching.
