Since accepting the guidance of divine Love, the new-old truth that makes free, the peace be still to weary, troubled hearts, joy and peace have had an abiding-place in my consciousness, also a longing for other to turn from the husks of materiality to life in God, and share in the song of rejoicing.
The Psalmist truly sings, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy ;at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more." In Christian Science we know and realize the truth of this sweet assurance.
Science and Health tells us (page 516), "Truth imparts its own true peace and permanence. Love, redolent with unselfishness, bathes all in beauty and light." Happy indeed are they who listen to the still, small voice,—the loving call,—"come unto me." This is the leading of divine Love into the true harmony of being, into the secret place of the most High. In this truth is exemplified our Master's wonderful teachings showing the way of life, holiness, spirituality.
Christian Science was presented to me at a very dark time in my life there seemed not a ray of hope to brighten my path. Almost from childhood a member of a church, striving to follow its precepts and teachings and to understand and know God. Yet when deep sorrow came,—ill health and other serious troubles,—to my tearful supplications there was no tender response, no comforter. The God whom I had endeavored to serve was far away, As time passed, there was a growing indifference in my heart toward the old thought. Gladly I turned to the arms of divine Love, to divine Principle; for, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
I was despairing and hopeless when I went to the practitioner through whose pure thought, patient work, and gentle guidance have come restored health, so many blessings, and so much peace. I am grateful to her indeed.
My heart goes out in love and gratitude to our beloved Leader who has so unselfishly shown us the way. Her words in "Miscellaneous Writings," P. 397, mean much
My prayer, some daily good to do
To Thine, for Thee;
An offering pure of Love, whereto
God leadeth me.
