Ten years ago Christian Science found me at the point of despair, due to the constant pain and intense stubbornness of what doctors called inflammatory rheumatism, and many other ailments.

I was advised to try the new way of treating disease, and I began at once to be interested in Christian Science because I was told that I need not take any material medicine, which pleased me very much, as I had used a great deal of it without ever receiving any benefit, and had grown disgusted with every so-called remedy of materia medica.

Science and Health was placed in my hands and I began its study at once. With great joy do I remember how the blessed truth came to me, the healing power of divine Love given to us all on every page of this noble volume.
