It was in the year 1885 that Christian Science came to my notice. I purchased the twelfth edition of Science and Health, and through the study of the scientific statement of being I was completely healed of deafness of long standing, which was so severe that I could not hear through a telephone. I was also healed of chronic neuralgia of the stomach and head, which at times nearly drove me wild, and so filled me with fear that when I went away from home I did not know that I would ever return.

Oh how precious were the Bible and my copy of Science and Health in the pioneer work of Christian Science. Words are inadequate, and God only knows of the many struggles, but they were always followed by victories.

It was my blessed privilege to visit Boston and Concord this year, and to look upon our dear Leader's face. A deep sense of gratitude has gone out from my heart, that we have such a Leader and Teacher, and if we follow faithfully the path she has marked out we can never go astray.—Helen M.
