Letters to our Leader

Clifton, Cincinnati, O., September 27, 1903.

Dearest Mrs. Eddy and Beloved Leader:—Thy golden words are graven sacredly on my heart, and I shall work on and on to prove thy God-given words in Science and Health, until I can do instantaneous healing.

This will rejoice your heart. A lady from Covington, Ky., an invalid, serious organic, for over twenty years, constantly under the physicians' care and for the last ten years under the noted specialist, Dr. Eichberg, heard of Christian Science. During Dr. E's absence abroad she appealed for help, declaring if she could be but half cured she would give up materia medica entirely. I spoke words of hope to her, gave her the "little book" and a present treatment, and felt she was healed. In a few days she came to my office happy and well. I wish you could have seen her, as she reverently opened Science and Health, and heard her say, "I am so thankful! How can any one who loves the Bible doubt this to be the Truth?"
