The Error of Judging

One of the most subtle errors with which mortals have to deal is the habit of judging. This error is doing much to retard the world's progress spiritward, for it prevents the honest and legitimate use of what has been gained and makes it exceedingly difficult, if not impossible, to gain more.

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment" was the wise counsel of the world's greatest teacher.

By no means the least of the Master's precepts is the simple rule of conduct, "Judge not, that ye be not judged." On one occasion, when speaking of himself, he said, "I judge no man." He who was best qualified to judge saw most clearly that man's mission is not to judge, but to teach and demonstrate the truth. Truth is always a just judge, an unerring guide, and an effectual help.
