Desireing to give all the glory to God, who is Love, I would like to relate the benefits which I have received through Christian Science.

Five years ago I had rheumatism in my hip, which at times pained me very much. From this I suffered for five months, when my trouble increased, and I had a carbuncle on my neck, which was so painful that I could not sleep.

I then sent for a Christian Scientist, and asked her if she could relieve my suffering, for I knew very little about Science. She said that she of herself could do nothing, but that she had no doubt that I would be healed. God had created man in His image and likeness, and that the real man could therefore not be afflicted with rheumatism or any other disease, for man is spiritual and Spirit is not sick, it is but the carnal or fleshly mind that suffers.
