Through
the kindly ministrations of Christian Science, my wife has been brought back to health and strength and a peace of thought that "surpasseth understanding," thanks not to the suggestion of any personality, but to the fact that all other means had been tried in vain and found wanting.
One
afternoon some time ago a very heart-broken little girl came home and said between her sobs, "Mamma, the children have sent me home, they say they wont play with me, and Margaret says she hates me.
If I can liveTo make some pale face brighter, and to giveA second lustre to some fear-dimmed eye,Or e'en impartOne throb of comfort to an aching heart,Or cheer some wayworn soul in passing by;

to the downy nest the spent bird fliesAt sunset time; as to the waters grayMoves glad the trusting ship whose purpose diesWithout its strong upholding; as the dayGoes joyfully to night's embrace at last,And as the star, aweary far aboveWith its night-watching, hails the dawning vast—So rests, so hides the world in mother-love!

A great multitude of earnest and intelligent people here and abroad already know that Christian Science has meant "life and health" to them in times of crisis when other means have failed.
I feel I must express my gratitude for all the good that has come to me in every direction through Christian Science, and first, for my physical healing.
With deep gratitude to our Leader, who has given us the key to the Scriptures in our text-book, Science and Health, I want to send my testimony to the Sentinel, hoping it may help some one.
I want to give my testimony, and tell what Christian Science has done for me, how I was healed of heart trouble more than two years ago, after the doctor had given me up.
As young Christian Scientists we are apt to be impatient to see the result of our work in truth, and perhaps we become discouraged because the demonstration, for lack of understanding, is not quickly made.
We gradually come to understand, as life advances, that happiness and misery—all the phases of existence, in fact—are states, conditions, attributes of mind; and from this point of view a "better world" is of less importance.
