"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out...
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear." This has been proven to me very forcibly. One Sunday afternoon, our little daughter, not quite four years old, was taken with measles. The next morning she was literally covered with an eruption. At first I did fear, for to mortal sense she looked terrible; besides, I was all alone in the house, and felt some lack of faith in my understanding, but in the assurance that perfect love does cast out fear, and that the great and only physician is God, I felt that I could leave it with Him.
Tuesday morning there was no sign of the measles on the face, just a slight pink to the eruption on her body, and Wednesday morning she was completely healed.
For this and many other blessings that I have had from God since coming into Christian Science, I am truly grateful. My heart has been thanking our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the past six years, but now I openly thank her for what she has done and is doing to show us the way to cast out all fear and teach us to know God aright. Jessie S. Wardwell, Boston, Mass.
