Labor not in Vain

Cheerful acquiescence in the wise counsel of our Leader has made startling changes throughout the Field, and many have been called from comparative privacy to public activity. To such we offer a few words of good fellowship and good cheer.

Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. . . . For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." To the extent that the new Readers understand that Love's "yoke is easy" and Love's "burden is light" will they bless and be blessed in their work. If, on the contrary, they are weighed down with a sense of personal responsibility, lack of time, overwork, and weariness, they are not ready to receive the blessing that is due to the consecrated worker, and they should not be surprised if they seem to have overworked, weary, tired congregations, and slight return for their labor.
