The One Healer

Macon (Ga.) Telegraph

NOTHING short of understanding faith in God, is capable of reforming the sinner, healing the sick, and ultimately overcoming all error on a natural, commonsense. demostrable, Christian basis. And, while Christian Science often heals those who claim to have little or no faith in it prior to their own healing, no other class of Christians have such an intelligent and practical faith in God as Christian Scientists; for they rely on Him and depend upon Him to supply all their needs,—present as well as final salvation from all evil, sin, disease, and death.

They are also actually proving in a Christian, scientific way that all the promises of Jesus are as true and available in this age, as when they were first given; that Christ, who is "the same yesterday, to-day, and forever," has lost none of His healing, saving, and redemptive power; that "these signs shall follow them that believe," in the twentieth as well as in the first century.

Christian Science, as taught by Rev. Mary Baker Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder in and for this age, restores the original spiritual meaning and scientific sense of the Scriptures; and as this spiritual interpretation and scientific sense of the holy Scriptures God, man, and the universe are discerned, blind faith in God gives place to understanding faith, or Christian Science.
