I attended my sick mother for nearly two years, when I was attacked with paralysis, having two strokes about six months apart. The second stroke left me so I could not read, nor write a word, nor talk well. I could not do much work. I was then living in San Diego, Cal. I came here soon after and become interested in Christian Science and sent for a practitioner. I had not been treated more than a week before I could read and write, and in three weeks' treatment my speech returned. Since then I have been well and strong and able to do almost any kind of work. It will be a year in August since I was healed. I am thankful to the practitioner for showing me the way, and to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science, which is the truth.
Mrs. J. C. McMonigal, Placer, Ore.
