Stand Still

John tells us that "the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." We know that the Truth contained in the Bible, and revealed to us through the study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy, is the Truth which heals all sickness and sin.

The Bible was indeed a sealed book to me, but through the light of Christian Science I have learned not only to read it, but to understand it, to love it, and to find in it an unfailing help for every day and every hour.

Some days ago when I had been working to overcome a claim of error, I took my Bible and seated myself to read. It opened to Second Chronicles, twentieth chapter, and I read the seventeenth verse; it was this: "Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah, and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to-morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you."
