Asthma of Long Standing

Although not a Christian Scientist, I will gladly give an account of what a kind Christian Scientist of this city, through his treatment, has done for me.

For over thirty years I had suffered with asthma, and four weeks ago I called on him at his office, not knowing that he was a Christian Scientist. I had never before seen the gentleman. This was on Thursday. I told him my troubles and he took me out to his residence and asked me if I would like to try Christian Science. I told him that I would try anything. He read a few paragraphs from Science and Health, quoted a few verses from the Bible and told me something about Christian Science. He then gave me a treatment. About three or four o'clock in the afternoon of the next day I had a very curious feeling all through my lungs and bronchial tubes, which had been closed for over thirty years, so when he came home I told him what had happened and he said, "Why, man, your asthma is all gone."

Yes, it had gone, and the tobacco habit with it, although I had used tobacco ever since I knew what it was. I have given up all my bad habits.
