Catarrh and Neuralgia Healed
About three years ago, after having tried medicines and climate for four years, and submitting to a number of surgical operations with very little benefit, I heard of Christian Science. I thought I would try it and see if I could be helped by it. I had a very bad attack of catarrh of the head and the grip. My head felt as if it would burst and every bone in my body seemed to ache. I sent for a practitioner and received a treatment in the forenoon. The healer told me I could come to her office for a treatment the next day. I doubted if I would be able to do so, as the weather was very cold and snow on the ground. I had spent three winters previous to this in the South and feared that I would have to go again. I was at her office the next morning by nine o'clock, having walked about nine blocks. In three days the pain had all left me and afterwards catarrh of the throat and stomach and a severe nervous trouble disappeared. I had an eruption on my chest which specialists of skin diseases pronounced eczema. This has also been overcome.
Before coming to Christian Science I was a slave to tobacco, having used it from early boyhood, both smoking and chewing. I had tried to stop it a number of times, but the desire for it was so strong that I always failed. But through Christian Science I have overcome it altogether. I have no desire whatever for it.
About a year ago I had a very severe attack of lame back (something I had been subject to for years), which I was able to overcome. Other troubles have also been mastered.
