Wine as a Medicine

Among the vanishing arguments of Bible students who oppose Christian Science is the claim that the Apostle Paul advised Timothy to use wine for his stomach. In proof of this they turn to I Timothy, 5 : 23, and read to you a part of a beautiful spiritual letter that Paul wrote Timothy at Ephesus, whom he designated as his "own son in the faith." This letter of instruction and admonition points the way out of "fables" into "godly edifying"—into "Love out of a pure heart . . . and of faith unfeigned." Not into dependence on other gods.
