Not quite a year ago I was healed in two weeks treatment, of a weak back that had troubled me for three years, and for almost a year had made me perfectly wretched; and while the restoration to perfect health resulting from this healing as well as the healing of other physical ailments has been very beautiful, my true healing, that for which I am most grateful, and over which I still wonder, is the utter change wrought, from a careless, selfish girl, to one whose honest desire is to know God and do His will wherever it leads. From being a meaningless name, the Bible has come to be the book I love with my whole heart, and am learning to understand little by little, through the light shed on it by Science and Health. Christian Sci ence has made me look with respect upon other churches and the honest opinions of others, and is surely teaching me not to judge.

When I realize that in the past ten months I have known more happiness than in all the other twenty-four years of my life, my heart is filled with gratitude to God and the one through whom He has sent this light to us, and I am trying to love our Leader more by being obedient and loving God's children more. The blessing it brings in teaching me to see every one as God's perfect child, and thereby enabling me to love every one whether they seem to love me or not, is truly priceless. Words cannot tell the perfect contentment and restfulness it brings.
