Policemen and Weapons

Personally, I am ready to go on record that I would be perfectly willing to patrol any district of the city of Toledo at any hour of day or night without a club or revolver, depending solely on the love and patriotism of the people behind me for protection, and I would undertake to present a cleaner record for my beat at the end of the year than could be shown by a colleague who placed his trust in the power of a club and gun.
